The editors selected my poem, "Lace Pentagrams" -- a poem which has become my own contribution to the "Southern Gothic" literary tradition -- to include in this impressive regional anthology. I am very proud to be reading with other esteemed Southern writers (of fiction and poetry) at tomorrow evening's Houston book launch, hosted by Visionary Heights Art Gallery, 1331 Nicholson St, Houston, TX, 77008 at 6:30pm. I will also be especially honored to have visiting actress and director, Rachel Jones, of Axial Theatre, and playwright, Stephen Baluzy ("The Great Thing About Me") attending, as well as Southern writer and memoirist, Nancy Geyer (instructor of that incredibly popular memoir writing course at Rice University). ![]() Thank you to Brazos Bookstore for hosting a stellar reading for Red Sky yesterday!
