In connection with Houston Poetry Fest and Public Poetry, Archway Gallery hosted a reading last night for six poets reading ekphrastic work, (poetry written in response to a specific piece of artwork). I was honored to read with Carolyn Dahl, Justin Jannise, Dean Lutrell, John Milkereit, and Vanessa Zimmer-Powell. And a special thanks to our Mistress of Ceremonies, The FABULOUS Billie Duncan!!! a.k.a. "La Senora Fabulosa!!!, as she has recently been dubbed by a Latin American poetry aficionado.
