Thank you to this amazing community! I am overwhelmed with gratitude! -- and based on the crowd that filled River Oaks Bookstore, I am pretty sure that the Fire Marshall has now issued a warrant for my arrest. But more importantly, Azaleas... had record sales on her first day out of the box!
I am proud to be able to donate one-hundred percent of the proceeds from Azaleas On Fire to the Houston Foundation for Literacy. In memory my mother, who gave me my first poetry book when I was just four years old, I am "paying it forward"... because magical things happen when you read to a child!!!
