I really cannot speak highly enough of Cindy Huyser and Book Woman. It was an absolute joy to read as their featured poet last night. What an amazing audience!!! I especially love the "call-and-response" style reading that Cindy has developed there, as well as her insightful interview style. Book Woman is a jewel in the crown of Austin's indie spirit, and Cindy Huyser is a phenomenal poet with a peerless reading style of her own. That she goes above and beyond by supporting the success of other poets speaks volumes about her commitment to the art.
