I am honored to have this poem published in San Pedro River Review. This epistolary work was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's very young wife and muse, Virginia Eliza Clemm, who died tragically from tuberculosis at the age of twenty-four, after struggling with this devastating illness for five years.  Are there any Edgar Allen Poe fans out there? Virginia Eliza Clemm was at the heart of his work.

Here I stand proudly with Ruby R Scott. Her gorgeous painting, "On Pointe" is available through Arts A Daisy Gallery. It was an honor and a privilege for me to have this talented artist interpret my poem, "My Father Makes Me Dance On Pointe—Marie Taglioni, 1822," inspired by the history of the first ballerina to dance ballet sur le pointe. Both the painting and the poem will remain on view at Sabine Street Studios through November 2, 2024 in connection with WIVLA's "ENTANGLED" Exhibition. A catalogue of the exhibition is now available on Amazon.
