It was a delight to read with fellow ARTlines poets for the Writespace writer's conference, held this past weekend at Silver Street Studios (Houston, TX). Fran Sanders of Public Poetry, as well as Amir Safi from Write About Now, and Brazos Bookstore, were all in attendance to promote poetry in Houston. The Writespace studio (located within the Silver Street Studios complex) has been developed and outfitted especially for writers of all literary genres, and all experience levels. After attending two of Writespace's writers panels -- one of which featured esteemed poet and scholar, Anis Shivani -- I recommend that all Houston area writers get in touch with Writespace to learn about their upcoming events.
